WOOC 2025: Call for contribution and participation now open
OpenCitations and the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information have announced that the call for participation and contributions for the 2025 edition of the Workshop on Open Citations and Open Scholarly Metadata (WOOC 2025) is now open.
The event will take place in Bologna from 28-29 May 2025 and will be hosted by the University of Bologna, one of the signatories of the Barcelona Declaration and Chair of the CoARA Italian National Chapter. GraspOS Members will attend the event, and the Consortium will meet for its plenary meeting in Bologna in the following days.
May 28 will be dedicated entirely to the “Bologna Meeting on Open Research Information”, aimed at encouraging signatories and supporters of the Barcelona Declaration and other interested bodies to develop a common roadmap that articulates the outcomes of the recent Paris Conference on Open Research Information.
May 29 will feature invited contributions in addition to presentations and a poster session dedicated to participants selected in the call for contributions. The theme of the 2025 edition of the workshop is “Open Access of Research Information”.
The event will bring together a diverse community of researchers, scholarly publishers, funders, policymakers, institutions, and open citations advocates.
The call is open until 13 January 2025. Further details on the event, as well as the selection criteria and submission guidelines for proposals, can be found here.
