The role of infrastructures for research assessment: various scenarios from the Computer Science perspective
12 November 2025, 11:55-12:05

Laurent Romary, Inria
On the basis of the analysis carried out within the GraspOS Computer Science Pilot combined with the grassroot experience gathered at Inria in relation to the existing French national infrastructures for publication and software in particular, we elicit several scenarios where software can occur at the service of research assessment. We will see various ways of putting software forward in researchers’ profiles and the consequence in the way various infrastructures have to be connected. Finally, we will try to delineate future activities that could improve the research assessment landscape beyond the computer science field proper, considering the growing importance of software productions in numerous fields of research
