OPERAS CONFERENCE 2024: Opening Collaboration for Community-Driven Scholarly Communication

Join an array of scholarly communication experts in this conference organised by OPERAS-Plus project. Hosted by University of Zadar in Croatia, this 3-day event is an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the scholarly communication sector. Day 1 is full of workshops and a poster session on several topics.

Day 2  features a keynote speech on the evolution of research systems by Lidia Borrell-Damián, sessions on sustaining OPERAS on the path to becoming an ERIC, presentations on equitable and diamond publishing models, research assessment, and peer review.

Day 3 starts with a keynote speech by Ross Mounce on Arcadia's work in Open Access, followed by sessions on Open Science policies, multilingualism, and collaboration. Workshops cover topics like responsible research assessment, machine translation in scholarly communication, and designing inclusive scholarly communication services. The day concludes with discussions on innovative services, tools, and technologies supporting Open Science, and a panel discussion on research for multilingualism in science.
