Paolo Manghi (Chair)

Paolo Manghi is a computer scientist, Head of Research at Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione (ISTI) of Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), in Pisa, Italy. He leads the Open Science Scholarly Communication Research Group (@InfraScience Lab), active in research and technology transfer within the Open Science and FAIRness community. He is also the CTO of the OpenAIRE infrastructure, and member of the technical team of the EOSC EU Node and the EOSC Italian Node.

Francesca Di Donato is a researcher in political philosophy at the Institute of Computational Linguistics of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Javier López Albacete, EC

Javier López Albacete 

PhD. in Physics For the period 2002-2017, Javier López Albacete has worked as a researcher in several institutions in Europe (CERN, CNRS, CEA, ECT* Trento and Universidad de Granada) and the US (Ohio State University). His research was focused on the theory and phenomenology of the strong interactions under extreme conditions. Since 2017, he is on leave from the Universidad de Granada to work in research management and policy making at EU institutions. For 2017-2021, he worked on the evaluation and follow-up of projects funded under the “Fundamental Constituents of Matter” panel of the European Research Council. He joined the Open Science and Research Infrastructures unit of the European Commission in 2021 as policy officer, where he contributes to advance EU policies on the European Open Science Cloud, international cooperation on Open Science and the reform of research assessment.


Giulia Malaguarnera

Giulia Malaguarnera is Outreach & Engagement Officer at OpenAIRE AMKE, where she leads stakeholder engagement and the uptake of OpenAIRE services across Europe, focusing on Research Assessment, Open Science monitoring, and university alliances. Within the Horizon Europe project GraspOS, she contributes to the development and exploitation of the Open Infrastructure for Responsible Research Assessment, fostering dialogue between research communities, funders, and policy makers. With a background in biomedical and nutritional sciences, she has conducted research in neuropharmacology and metabolism, and now applies this scientific perspective to advancing open and responsible research practices.

Silvio Peroni

Silvio Peroni holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, and he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies, University of Bologna. He is the director of OpenCitations (https://opencitations.net) and an expert in Semantic Web technologies, semantic interoperability of Open Science services and infrastructures, bibliographic information and cultural heritage data.
