Align, Act, Accelerate. A perspective on Open Science and Responsible Research Assessment.

13 November 2025, 9:45-10:45

The keynote will focus on the report Align, Act, Accelerate of the Commission Expert Group on the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe, which provides recommendations to maximise the impact of EU Research and Innovation programmes, and advocates for a transformative agenda addressing four core spheres of action. Specific attention will be given to the role of Open science, to the concept of the “fifth freedom” proposed by Enrico Letta in his report Much More Than a Market, and to the impact of responsible research assessment policies.
