Handling and processing of personal data

How do we handle your personal data?

This page regards the handling, processing and storage of data for the GraspOS Community of Practice.
Please consult the GraspOS Privacy Policy for additional information on how we look after your personal data, your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

The GraspOS consortium regularly engages external people and organisations in the form of newsletters or workshops such as the Community of Practice. To provide these engagements, we usually ask people to fill in a registration form, where their names and emails are collected.

We use this registration information to figure out what types of engagements to facilitate or sending information like updates and news about GraspOS, but also video-conferencing and presentation links. Registration information is stored using Mailchimp and after GraspOS has concluded, registration form data is deleted.

Only the communications team of GraspOS has access to registration data, and it is not shared with others beyond the team.

As the use of your name and email address is necessary for providing you with the GraspOS engagements, the lawful basis for the processing is based on 'Contract' – as listed in Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. A data subject, you can exercise any of your personal data rights, like requesting a copy of the information we hold about you, asking us to correct or delete your information, object to the processing, among others.
